Niger Tornadoes winger Wilfred Ammeh has said his side will not rest on their oars to win more valuable points in the on-going Nigerian top-flight.
The Ikon Allah Boys benched visitors Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC 3-0 in Sunday’s top-flight matchday 21 clash at adopted ground, the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja.
The Minna landlords’ marksman adjudged the man of the match scored a goal in the three-unanswered-goal defeat of the Olukoya Boys while Wakili Abdullahi grabbed a brace in the encounter.
Ammeh said he is excited winning massively against MFM FC after a futile campaign at former Nigerian champions Kano Pillars.
“Nobody was happy over the cheap loss in Kano to Kano Pillars. That’s why we have to fight hard immediately to return to winning ways.
“We are happy to have achieved the massive performance against a strong side like Mountain of Fire Miracle Ministries (MFM) FC.
“Personally, I’m happy to have scored in the 3-0 win against MFM which gave me the platform in my football career.
“I’m at core a professional and will continue to be to do my work with the best professionalism.
“We will continue to get better in our matches as the league progresses until we reach the mark set for ourselves.
“Right now we are working assiduously hard to secure more points on the road while we consolidate on the home front,” said the Niger Tornadoes attacking midfielder to supersport.com.
Ammeh has now scored two goals for the Ikon Allah side in the 21-week old Nigerian top-flight.
The Minna outfit are seventh on the 20-team top-flight log on 33 points, six behind league leaders Plateau United.
