Lagos SWAN/NDLEA Symposium: Fayoade Urges Interguide School Students, Others To Shun Bad Peers Influence

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Mr Adegoke Fayoade has enjoined Nigerian youth to shun drug abuse in any form if they want to succeed in their chosen careers in life.

While speaking with the students of Interguide School, Ikeja who were invited to grace the recently organised national symposium organized by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Lagos chapter in collaboration with the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the Defence Headquarters, Nigeria Police, Lagos State Sports Commission and other relevant agencies in the country on the danger of using illicit and enhance drugs in sports, CP Fayoade said that, as a father, he would be happy to see the children becoming good citizens of the country who will forever make their parents proud.

"This can only happen if you take your studies seriously, shun drugs and avoid peer influence. These are what can hinder your growth into success in life.

"I am so glad that the organisers of this symposium invited the students to be part of this symposium for them to see early in life that abusing drugs is dangerous.

"These children are our future, the future of this great country," the Commissioner of Police said during his interactive session with the students of Interguide School.

 CP Fayoade also signed autographs for the students.
