The result extended Brighton’s run of solid defensive displays and highlighted the goalkeeper’s growing influence in the WSL.

Speaking during the week, Nnadozie expressed disappointment over the postponement of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, which was moved from March 17–April 3 to July 25–August 16 due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

She admitted the change disrupted preparations, noting that the squad had already begun gearing up for the competition.

“We, the players, are not happy that the WAFCON was postponed. We were preparing hard for it,” she said in an interview with Osasu Obayiuwana.

With her composure and leadership between the posts, Nnadozie continues to be a key figure for Brighton while also keeping herself in sharp form ahead of the rescheduled continental tournament.
