Morata seals Como move after Galatasaray loan termination

By Daily Sports Nigeria on August 11, 2025

Spain forward Alvaro Morata has joined Serie A side Como after his Galatasaray loan deal was terminated.

Confirming the deal, Fabrizio Romano posted on Monday, “It’s all signed: Álvaro Morata can be considered the new Como player from AC Milan after Galatasaray loan broke.”

The loan agreement with Galatasaray has been officially ended, and all that’s left is to finalise registration with his new club.

The 32-year-old striker, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Galatasaray, has decided to join Como to have a more important role than he had with the ‘Rossoneri’ the previous season.

Morata played 25 official matches last season with the San Siro side, 21 of which were as a starter, scoring six goals and providing one assist.

During his time in Turkey, he played 16 matches, scoring 7 goals and providing 1 assist.

Como, who continue to strengthen their squad to establish themselves as contenders in Italian football, view Morata as a key piece in their project. The next step in the process will be reaching an agreement with Galatasaray to end the current loan deal early, which would clear the way for his registration as a Como player.
