Brown Ideye close in on Malaga move

By Daily Sports on January 21, 2018

There are indications that former Super Eagles star, Brown Ideye will soon bring an end to his nightmarish time at Chinese side Tianjin Teda with Spanish LaLiga side Malaga locked in talks with him over a move before the end of the January transfer window.

Ideye who has been relegated from the first team of Tianjin Teda to the reserves is the favourite of coach of Malaga Jose Gonzalez, who knows the Nigerian during his time in China.

Bought for 12 million Euros from Greek side Olympiakos a little over a year ago, the Chinese side are not keen on letting him leave on a cheap despite the striker not playing a single game for them in the last six months.

A failed move to another Spanish side Alaves on transfer deadline day during the summer didn’t help his cause at the club, and reports also has it that Tianjin Teda want to sell him outrightly but Malaga are only interested in having him on loan.

The former Sochaux, Dynamo Kyiv, West Brom and Olympiakos forward is keen on a move away from the Chinese side to boost his chances of making the Nigerian team to the World Cup in Russia. (Owngoal)
