Ejike Uzoenyi is back in the Mother City and hopes a return to Cape Town will rekindle a promising career.
The Nigeria international, who this month joined Ajax Cape Town on a long-term deal, first made a name for himself on the Southern tip of Africa during the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) Tournament.
Voted as the tournament's best player, Uzoenyi would go on to represent the Super Eagles at the FIFA World Cup that same year.
Unsuccessful spells at Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits would duly follow, but Uzoenyi is hopeful that he will strike form with the Urban Warriors: "Cape Town is like a home for me, Cape Town gave me a platform and changed my life,"Uzoenyi told the SABC.
"I am happy to be back, I have a good feeling about being back in Cape Town and I am positive that things will work out for me here. This feels like home and I am delighted to be back," he concluded.
