Atletico Madrid ship Mensah

By Daily Sports on July 27, 2017

After being relegated to the Atletico Madrid second side from the start of pre-season, Ghana international Bernard Mensah has moved on to Turkey’s Kasimpasa SK on loan.

The 22-year-old is to spend the entire 2017/18 season with the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium outfit.

Kasimpasa, announcing the deal on Wednesday, said they have secured an option to make Mensah’s stay permanent when the loan agreement expires June 30, 2018.

Speaking to the club’s website, the attacking midfielder said: "It's my first time of playing outside Portugal and Spain, but I'm ready."

The Spanish giants signed Mensah on a six-year deal from Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes in 2015 but he is yet to feature for the Atletico. He was first shipped out to Getafe for the 2015/16 season and went out again last term to his former club Vitoria where he made 25 appearances before suffering a knee injury.

Bernard Mensah has been capped thrice by Ghana.
