“The club, in their proposal, committed to providing a standard venue, facilities, security, medical assistance, live online streaming of matches, transportation for teams, and financial support for accommodation and logistics,” the NBBF statement read.
The final eight will take place from October 26 to November 3, with teams arriving on October 26. Matches are expected to run in a round-robin format from October 27 to November 2.
According to the federation, the final four stage, featuring the top four teams from the final eight, will follow between November 20 and 23, also in Port Harcourt.
The NBBF also said the move aims to ensure “a smooth and hitch-free” conclusion to the country’s premier basketball season, while also boosting the sport’s visibility in the South-South region.
