A call has been sent to Nigerians on the need to proritize and to ensure that the country imbibes the traditional values and cultures that see everyone as one indivisible brother in our multi ethic country Nigeria because, be you Hausa, lgbo or Yourba, it is one flesh, blood and destiny called Nigeria that run through our.DNA.

This patriotic observation was made in Lagos recently by HRH Eze Dr.Amb. Christian Nwokedi, Eze Ndi Igbo ljegun/ljeododo Kingdom Lagos State. 

 He stressed that if our leaders and other elites in our society could ensure that the act of one true Nigeria is preached, impacted and entrenched into the consciousness of our subjects, the country would be the better for it than it is presently.

According to the Chairman Council of Ndi Eze Ndi Igbo Lagos State, the current situation the country found herself today, would not have arisen in areas of insecurity, hunger, high cost of living, civil unrests, robberies, social vices, and other criminal tendencies which are ravaging the society presently.

Eze Nwokedi added that the current situation in the country though not the handiwork of the present administration however, called for the cooperation of all Patriots to join hands in finding the lasting, equitable and effective solutions in order to alleviate these teething sufferings by the larger populace.

The philanthropist extraordinary pointed out further that, if the culture of being our brothers' keeper is practically exhibited by especially our affluence displaying politicians, and other political leaders, the less privileged in our society today who struggle to make ends meet, especially in the current hash economic realities would have hope of survival.

"Truth be told, there's no hope for vast majority of our people today.

Majority doesn't readily know where the next meal will come from.

Things are going from bad to worst despite "genuine"economic measures put in place by the present administration.

High cost of living worsening every second.

The citizens living in penury thereby increasing street begging and other social vices," he said.

The Traditional Ruler confessed that there's hope in the horizon if we all would sincerely join hands with the government to ensure that economic saboteurs and other enemies of the economy/State are not only apprehended and punished but also discouraged from their bad acts against the country through our constant public advocacy.

He restated that most of them who are closer to the grassroots knew the kind of pressure they go through every moment with the huge grassroots population in a high depressed economy.

"We serve as the gatekeepers in our various communities to ensure there's peaceful co-existence, orderliness, freedom of movement, zero tolerance to restiveness and sundry," he recalled.  

The humanist and unassuming traditional ruler, enthusiastically further set the tone saying, he is optimistic that things would cushion for the best if the business of governance are redirected critically and focused/centered around the people.

For instance, let's take a look at and lesson from what our Women, national team, the Super Falcons exhibited, executed and displayed in far away Moroko, that earned the country deserved Mission X in Saturday's WAFCON final football summit against host county, Morocco's Atlas Lionesses.

Eze Ndi Igbo Nwokedi further posited that the girls sent instructive lesson and strong character to especially our wealth displaying politicians and other leaders of the country that when there's a will, there must a way which the leadership of the country could take out few seconds and soberly reflect on the exploits, resilience, focus, never say die spirit of the young twenty two (22) team women players who represented Nigeria, a country of over 200 million people. The girls were determined and overcame from behind against all odds to receive the overall crown for such first rate football summit in African continent.

Then Nigeria and Nigerians would be greater for it as poverty would drastically be wiped out, he said.

He paid glowing tribute to the technical crew led by Justin Madagu for his thoughtful leadership qualities and capacity that saw him with the intensive pressure to think out decisively the match plan and strategies which saw his squad back into reckoning when it mattered most.

"That ought to serve as wake up call for our politicians and the leadership of this country," HRH Eze Nwokedi remarkably pointed out.He tumps up the Nigerian Police Force for maintaining internal security effectively despite over short comings in funding.
