By Daily Sports Nigeria on April 8, 2024

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos chapter has commiserated with Chief Olusegun Odegbami (MON) over the death of his son Oluwagbeminiyi.

The former Nigerian international announced the death of his son who passed on to glory in the early hours of Good Friday, 29 March 2024 after a brief illness.

Chairman of Lagos SWAN, Olatutu Oladunni said the association deeply shared the pain with Odegbami over the loss of Oluwagbeminiyi to the cold hands of death.

According to Oladunni, losing a dear son who has grown up to be a "highly gifted and multi-talented young man” would be so painful to bear for a father.

"The Lagos SWAN shares in the pains our dear Olusegun Odegbami and his family are passing through now. Our prayer is with him.

"We pray that the Almighty God; the Giver of life, will give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss," Olatutu said.
