Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike has joined Spanish LaLiga side Las Palmas on loan from Greek giants Olympiakos for the rest of the season.
The move means Las Palmas have officially added two Nigerians to their squad in less than 24 hours following the loan signing of another Nigerian in Oghenekaro Etebo, who joined the team from Portuguese side CD Feirense.
Emenike joined Olympiakos in the summer from Turkish side Fenerbahce, and after a fine start to his career at the Greek side, injury and poor form cost him his spot in the starting line up of the team.
The 30 year old forward would be hoping to recapture the form that made him a big hit in Turkey in 2013, same year he played a crucial role for Nigeria at the African Nations Cup which they won in South Africa.
His main task at Las Palmas alongside Etebo is to ensure that the team beat the drop to the second division in Spain as they are presently occupying one of the spots for relegation.
On their part Las Palmas would be hoping he finds the back of the net once again as he is yet to score a league goal this season in the five games he played for Olympiakos.
