Osimhen: I’m Jealous Of Bundesliga Players

By Daily Sports on May 21, 2020

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has admitted that he is jealous of Bundesliga players.

The German top-flight league resumed last weekend having been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020.

However, matches are played behind closed doors in order to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the European country.

Osimhen is on the books of OSC Lille, who are campaigning in the French Ligue 1 which has been cancelled due to the coronavirus.

The 21-year-old striker, who has played for Bundesliga side VFL Wolfsburg, also added that the French government made the right decision by cancelling all sports activities in the country.

“I think the championship will resume in September or August but I don’t know exactly,” Osimhen said on Lepet Titlillois.

“For the rest, the end of the season has been cancelled, everyone is at home and it’s really crazy.

“I’m really jealous of the Bundesliga players who have taken over. But I think it was the best decision in France and staying safe.”

Osimhen was Lille’s top goalscorer in all competitions having netted 18 goals and created six before the season was halted. (African Football)
