Fulham to keep Sone Aluko

By Daily Sports on May 18, 2017

Fulham have announced they hope to keep their key players including Nigeria forward Sone Aluko even after they failed in their bid to win promotion back to the Premier League.

Fulham lost in the promotion playoffs semi-finals 2-1 on aggregate to Reading.

Disappointed Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic said he has been given assurances from the club’s board they will hold on to their top stars so as to push again for a return to the English top league.

“I expect our best players are going to stay with us,” he said. “This is information I have from the board.

“Next season will be complicated, like every Championship season, but we are going to push to be a promoted team.”

Aluko, who played the full game against Reading on Tuesday night, has a year left on his contract at the London club after he became a free agent last year.

The former Hull City and Rangers forward has an option for another year.
