WAS MESSI A HUMBLE, HARMLESS, MEEK AND MILD GENTLEMAN?

 Millions of Lionel Messi fans are mourning since Sunday, July 19 that the final of the FIFA World Cup Final match was decided in New Jersey, USA.

Followers of the ex-Barcelona midfielder are not just mourning the defeat suffered by their demi-god, Messi, they're gnashing their teeth over the humiliation by Spain (20 shots to 2 off target).

To make matters worse, they're in sorrow over the exposure of the myth surrounding their GOAT, Messi.

Over the years, those guys (FIFA, referees, Argentines and Messi fans) made us believe that Messi was a lamb. They forced it down our throat that Messi was a saint. They preached (by fire by force) to every football follower that Messi couldn't hurt a fly. They said that Messi was the next thing after Jesus Christ when it comes to humility, cool-headeness, gentility, meekness, patience, comportment, friendliness, graciousness, acceptability, and what have you.

But what did the world see the day the mask and robe of rightiousness were removed from the former Barcelona captain via a disgraceful defeat in the hands of the 'small, small boys' from Spain? 

We saw a set of dirty, wayward, animalistic, barbaric, despicable and disgusting tugs (wearing Argentina jerseys) who were shoving, kicking, pushing, hitting and fighting their Spanish opponents, even when the referee had blown the final whistle.

We saw a set of hoodlums (in Argentina colours) who refused to acknowledge the superiority of a Spanish team, who out-played, and reduced them to passengers all through the duration of the 125 minutes that the match lasted.

We saw a bunch of hooligans (led by Saint Messi) who not only resorted to beastly tactics during and after the match, but turned their backs when the Spainsh players were lifting the World Cup trophy - first time in the history of the Mundial.

WHILE THE MADNESS SIMMERED, MESSI DID NOTHING, SAID NOTHING

To matters worse, and keep tongues wagging, Messi did absolutely NOTHING to caution or stop his warring and rampaging team mates. Even when Leandro Paredes, Nahuel Molina and assistant coach, Roberto Ayala went haywire after the final whistle (against Spain) the Inter Miami player saw nothing, said nothing, and did nothing.

The aftermath of the michevious tendencies of Messi and his gang (during and after the Mundial) forced the football world into digging deep...into the affairs of the hitherto 'world's most noble and upright football role model' (Messi).

First port of call was Spain, where the Barcelona hierarchy are currently enmeshed in corruption and fraudulent allegations in what is referred to as Negreira scandal.

For those who have not been following events in La Liga in recent times, between 2001 and 2018, Barcelona officials paid 7 million euros to Jose Maria Negreira, the ex-vice-president of Spain's Technical Committee of Referees (CTA).

Spanish prosecutors, Real Madrid and other La Liga rivals insist the payments were made by the Barca officials to secure favourable referee decisions and create institutional influence.

As we speak, Spanish courts have formally charged Barca as an entity with 'continuous corporate corruption'.

The case, spearheaded by a relentless Real Madrid President, Fiorentino Perez, may not end in palatable circumstances.

Messi fans claim the Argentina captain has won the most trophies in modern football, totalling 46 trophies.

Remarkably, one of the many punishments awaiting the Catalan club is the revocation of ALL The trophies (35 in all) they won between 2001 and 2018 - the same period the Barca legend held sway.

Imagine a situation where the Spanish courts indict Barca and strip them of 35 trophies. That means Messi is left with just 11 trophies. That scenario will effectively confine the petite midfielder into football abyss.

If we look critically at the awards Messi have ganered over the decades - from the 2022 FIFA World Cup trophy(which is still under investigation) to the 8 Ballon d'Or (2010 belonged to Wesley Sneijder, 2021 was for Robert Lewandoski, 2019 was won by Virgil van Dyk, while the 2023 edition belonged to Erling Haaland, who won the treble while scoring 52 goals in 53 matches) to the 35 trophies in La Liga - they're ALL tainted in corruption, controversy and fraud.

If only Messi had known, he wouldn't have been part of the just-concluded World Cup Finals. 

That way, his supposedly glorious reputation would have remained intact.

If only he knew, he would have retired some years ago with billions of football fans having the impression that he could not hurt a fly.

But now, in conjunction with Paredes and co., he has destroyed everything.

The whole world has seen his REAL colours.

The whole world now knows that behind that saintly garb is a beast, a fraud, a hoodlum, a tout and a cheat.
