Sports Stakeholders, Other Dignitaries Storm Ijebu Ode For Senator Buruji Kashamu

Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, was agog over the weekend, with important sports stakeholders and other dignitaries from all walks of life joining Senator Buruji Kashamu for the final burial ceremony of his mother.

Abayomi Ogunjimi, the President of Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters Club, was among those in attendance. Others included Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, immediate past President of the Senate, Dr, Bukola Saraki, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Sports, Senator Obinna Ogba, as well as many other past and serving Senators.

Ogunjimi was one of the stars of the occasion, as he received words of praise for the excellent performance of the Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters Club in Egypt during the recent African Cup of Nations (AFCON) championship.

Specifically, Governor Abiodun admonished Ogunjimi and the Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters Club not to relent in their efforts to give Nigeria’s football teams the maximum support whenever they are on duty.
