By Daily Sports on April 23, 2019

The 5th edition of the Bet9ja Super Agent cup will kick off on Thursday, April 25, in Benin City.

Most of the top grassroots clubs in Benin are taking part in the competition being organised by Super Agent Roland Inonoje.

Some of the appetizing group matches will see BJ Foundation take on Shooting Arrows while Dynamo Academicals will lock horns with Light FC.

A star prize of 500,000 naira awaits the winners of the competition.

However, as at the time of writing this report a hot debate was going on as some participating clubs were pushing for a postponement of the competition to after the Edo FA Cup.

Shooting Arrows made a complaint that their scheduled group clash with BJ clashes with the date of their quarter final tie of the FA cup with Bendel Insurance.

Other clubs are under financial constraints having spent heavily on prosecuting the FA Cup and want the organisers of the Bet9ja Super Agents Cup to give them some time to recharge for the competition.

The Bet9ja tournament offers fans the opportunity of seeing the best of the best of grassroots football in Edo, a state full of very exciting football talents.

Rockers FC are defending champions of the Bet9ja tournament after beating BJ 4-3 on penalties last year.
