Your promotion to Premier League is my new year gift, Gov. Obaseki tells Bendel Insurance players and officials

The sports-loving Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, was full of joy and happiness on Friday when he received players and officials of Bendel lnsurance at the Government House, Benin City.

The Governor thanked the players and officials for keeping to their promise to get the promotion ticket to premier league.

He said: “Your promotion is my happy new year gift which I will love forever.

“You see I ask you people to go there and fight and get the promotion ticket and here you have done your part by getting the promotion ticket.

“Now it my turn to do my own. For doing your own I am giving the team 25 million naira and for the new assignment ahead you need bus for the journeys, I am giving the team new Toyota bus.

“Yes, for the best Supporters Club I am giving you people N5 million and a new bus.”

The Governor declared that the next assignment “is to go to the Premier League and win the league.”
