Serbia names squad for friendlies against Super Eagles, Atlas Lions

Serbia’s coach, Mladen Krstajic, has listed a 24-man team that will face the Super Eagles in a friendly on March 27. The game holds at the Hive Stadium in London, four days after the European’s match with Morocco on March 23.

The Krstajic-tutored team is in Group E with Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, and Manchester United’s midfielder, Nemanja Matic, would lead the World Cup-bound team in the two friendly games.

Others included in the team are English Premier League top players like Dusan Tadic of Southampton, Cardiff’s Marko Grujic, and Aleksandar Mitrovic of Fulham.Red Star Belgrade central defender, Vujadin Savic, makes his debut after being handed his first call up in their preparation towards achieving success at the World Cup.

Former Manchester City left back now at Roma, Aleksandar Kolarov, is also in the Coach Krstajic’s team, as he has a date with his former team mate, Kelechi Iheanacho, named in the Nigerian squad by Coach Gernot Rohr for the friendly.Eddy Onazi, who once played for Lazio, will meet former teammate, Sergei Milinkovic-Savic, while Torino’s Adem Ljajic is also another top player for the Serbians.
