Offensively, Super Eagles Superior To Morocco – Julien Mette Warns Ahead Of Semi Final Clash

By DailySports Nigeria on January 12, 2026

The former coach of Djibouti Julien Mette says the senior national team of Nigeria carries more threat in attack than that of Morocco ahead of their semi final clash at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Nigeria secured a comprehensive 2-0 win over Algeria to book a semi final spot against the host, who had earlier defeated Cameroon in the other quarter final.

Both teams will clash on Wednesday in the semi final, and Mette who was a guest analyst during the game between Nigeria and Algeria gave his opinion on the much anticipated game.

“Offensively, Nigeria is superior to Morocco. On the Moroccan side, there’s Brahim Diaz emerging, but if he goes out… Nigeria is capable of doing everything, killing you on the break, in structured attack, on set pieces”, the French man said.

He however said the fact that Morocco will be playing in front of their fans, who are expected to make the stadium intimidating for Nigeria could make it difficult for the Super Eagles.
