Ganaru set to head Yobe Desert Stars

By Daily Sports on September 27, 2017

Former Kano Pillars coach Mohammed Baba Ganaru is close to agreeing a deal to handle promotion hopefuls Yobe Desert Stars.

SCORENigeria reports that Ganaru has already been working with the Yobe team as a consultant in their last three matches and it is expected that if they won promotion to the big league, the coach will be appointed head coach.

“He is working with Yobe Desert Stars in some capacity for their last three matches and once they are promoted, they will hire him full time,” a top source informed.

Yobe Desert Stars are locked in a Titanic clash with Jigawa Golden Stars for the chance to join Kwara United in the NPFL from the Northern Conference in the new season.

Baba Ganaru won the NPFL championship with Kano Pillars back-to-back.

He was sacked by Wikki Tourists this past season after a run of poor results.

He also had a short-lived stint at Nasarawa United. (SCORENigeria)
