Nigeria international John Ogu and compatriot Anthony Nwakaeme were both on target as Israeli champions Hapoel Be’er Sheva advanced to third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva won 3-2 at Honved of Hungary to thus qualify 5-3 on aggregate.
Ogu opened scoring after 12 minutes, before Nwakaeme doubled the visitors’ lead four minutes later.
The home team then fought back and drew level before Nwakaeme netted the winner and his brace six minutes from time.
Last season, the Israeli champions played in the group stage of the Europa League.
