Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho will be included in Manchester City’s squad for their pre-season tour of the United States despite reports he might depart from the Etihad.
Iheanacho is reportedly on the radar of West Ham United and Leicester City as Pep Guardiola plans for a massive clear-out as City.
The Nigerian announced his arrival on the big stage during City’s pre-season tour three years ago and has been part of the first team squad since then.
He has scored 21 goals in 64 appearances for the citizens but has found playing time under Guardiola difficult to come by last season.
His inclusion in the City team for the tour of America does not give a clear indication on his future at the Etihad Stadium yet to mean Pep has had a change of heart.
The former Premier League champions have however dropped England goalkeeper Joe Hart from their pre-season squad. Others who were left out of the trip include Wilfred Bony, Samir Nasri, Eliaquim Mangala and Jason Denayer. (Supersports)
