Kelechi Iheanacho says he hopes to move to Germany after Manchester City exit.
SCORENigeria reports that the Nigeria striker Kelechi Iheanacho has said he fancies a move to Germany after he finally agreed to quit star-studded Manchester City by season’s end.
A friend who spoke with Iheanacho recently revealed to SCORENigeria: “He told me he hopes to quit Manchester City because he has fallen down the pecking order with the arrival of Gabriel Jesus and as such he is not getting enough playing minutes.
“He spoke about a move to Germany, but insisted that his future will be a lot clearer at the end of the season.”
Recent media reports have linked Iheanacho with German clubs Hoffenheim and Borussia Dortmund.
Last August, Iheanacho, 20, signed a contract extension that will keep him at The Ittihad till 2021.
However, the arrival of manager Pep Guardiola has meant limited playing time for the Nigeria international and this was further worsened when Brazil international Jesus joined up with ‘The Cityzen’’.
He has scored four goals in the Premier League this season after netting 14 in all competitions last term.
He has made a total of 60 appearances for City since he was promoted from the youth team.
