Ndidi makes entrepreneurial debut with DIIDS launch

Nigerian international footballer Wilfred Ndidi has made his entrepreneurial debut with the launch of DIIDS, a lifestyle brand for men and women that begins with a range of premium everyday essentials.

The brand was unveiled in Lagos on August 31, marking Ndidi’s expansion beyond the football pitch after years competing at the highest level of the professional game.

The midfielder said the venture reflects a desire to build something of his own beyond his football career.

“Football has given me a platform, but I know there is life beyond the game. DIIDS is an opportunity for me to build something that reflects my interests and can stand on its own as a brand,” Ndidi said.

The move forms part of a broader vision the player has for life after football, anchored around his personal brand, “WN — Built for Legacy,” which reflects his ambition to evolve from elite footballer into entrepreneur, media personality, mentor and builder of opportunities.

Ndidi traced the roots of that drive to his upbringing in Nigeria, where discipline and hard work shaped his character from an early age.

As a boy, he helped his mother sell fruit and also sold groundnuts, earning the nickname “Omolepa,” an experience he said continues to inform how he approaches business and life today.

“I want to leave every place better than I found it. For me, that is what legacy means,” he said.

DIIDS marks the beginning of what Ndidi hopes will grow from its African roots into a globally recognised lifestyle brand.
