Manchester City’s Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho is a transfer target for Bundesliga side Hoffenheim according to reports.
Allnigeriasoccer.com reports that City will consider selling Iheanacho in the European summer, with a buy-back clause included in any deal they strike with a buyer.
And it has emerged that Hoffenheim will look into signing the Super Eagles youngster from the Citizens, provided they can secure qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
“It is true Hoffenheim are interested in Kelechi Iheanacho. He is one of the three strikers on their list but they have not started negotiating with him yet,” a source is quoted by Allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 20-year-old Iheanacho has been a part of City’s first team squad for the past two seasons, but is set to find himself down the pecking order behind Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus.
