Rivers United under-15 striker Collins Nathan was the hero of his side on Thursday as the ‘Pride of Rivers’ dismissed Enyimba’s Under-15 side 3-0 at the ongoing 2017 NPFL Under-15 Promises tournament.
Rivers United have been peerless at the Owerri zone and Collins turned on the style with a well-taken hat-trick as the Port Harcourt side put Enyimba to the sword in emphatic fashion.
Nathan, a student of Enitona High school, was pleased with his contributions and took the time to voice his sentiments to supersport.com.
“I am happy that I scored three goals versus Enyimba today. I have played two matches now and did not score in the first game I played.
“I want to have a good career; I want to go far in this game.
“Our next game against FC Ifeanyiubah will be tough but we will try our best to win,” he said.
Rivers United have now amassed maximum points (nine) from their opening three games and will next meet FC Ifeanyiubah’s Under-15 side on Friday at 4pm at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
