How we beat El-Kanemi Warriors: 3SC Head Coach Fatai Amoo

By Daily Sports on March 30, 2017

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) head coach Fatai Amoo says a collective team effort ensured victory against the El-Kanemi Warriors on Wednesday.

The Oluyole Warriors pipped the Maiduguri Warriors 1-0 in the top-flight matchday 16 clash at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan.

Former Ikorodu United hitman Merenini Junior secured the three points the Ibadan landlords with his 47th-minute goal.

Amoo said the win against the in-form El Kanemi Warriors will greatly reduce pressure going forward to other matches on the calendar.

“The win was a collective effort by the players.

“Our fans are happy with the players’ performance and I pray it will continue that way in our upcoming matches.

“Goalscoring has been our problem and we are working hard on that aspect of our game.

“The win against El Kanemi Warriors will certainly reduce pressure on the team and help us to concentrate and focus better.

“I must thank every member of 3SC for the win today (Wednesday) against El Kanemi Warriors,” said the former Sunshine Stars coach to supersport.com.

The former Nigerian coach said he will not be in a haste to chastise youngster,Sunday Faleye for a missed penalty.

“I think Faleye is putting himself under unnecessary pressure, he is quite young and sure to overcome the nerves with time.

“I’m working with him to ensure he gets better,” said Amoo.

The win against El Kanemi Warriors takes 3SC's points haul to 19 from a possible 48 in the 16-week-old top-flight.
