Echiejile who is on his second loan spell since joining the Ligue 1 giants in 2014, is expected to undergo his medical examinations on Thursday to become the Rojiblancos last signing in the January transfer window.

“Elderson Echiejile is an experienced international player who, after a brief stint at Standard de Liège, has qualified at Sporting to end the 2016-2017 season thanks to a transfer contract with AS Monaco, owner of the player,” the club announced on their website.
