Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has asked Nigerians to go to sleep with both eyes closed as the goalkeeping area is in safe hands ahead of the double clash against Cameroon.
Eagles will meet the Central African neighbours in the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers on Friday, September 01 in Uyo, Nigeria and Monday, September 04 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
Ezenwa said Nigerians just have to believe the trio shot stoppers, Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Dele Alampasu to be at their very best on matchday to ensure the country records a stunning win against the reigning African champions, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
“I think the right time has come for the invited goalkeepers to prove their mettle and we are going to make Nigerians proud.“
The three goalkeepers for the clash against Cameroon are damn ready and anyone called upon to man the post will do an excellent work.
“There is no cause for alarm, myself, Daniel and Dele will deliver the goods at the appointed time, Nigerians can be rest assured and sleep with both eyes closed.“
Everything will be fine at the end of the day, we just have to be focus to be victorious against Cameroon.
“Of course, we will be victorious and I can tell you that we are already victors our mind set is well-focused to defeat Cameroon despite the fact that they are African champions.“
We will shock and surprise Cameroon in both legs of the World Cup qualifiers,” said the FC IfeanyiUbah goaltender to supersport.com.
