Gloves’re off with Haye, Bellew was tense affair

By Daily Sports on January 22, 2017

David Haye and Tony Bellew's meeting on The Gloves Are Off was tense but passed without incident on Friday night.

Tension filled the studio throughout but the feuding pair, who will meet on March 4 live on Sky Sports Box Office, were on their best behaviour having been warned by the British Boxing Board of Control.

"I really don't like being in this guy's presence at all," Haye later told Sky Sports News HQ.

"He's a bully, a typical bully. Look at the guys he's fought - he tries to intimidate people. I really don't like bullies, or people trying to intimidate me.

"I just hope there's a nice, big distance between us before the next press conference. I could feel his energy."
