Wilfred Ndidi will make his Premier League debut for Leicester City against Chelsea on Saturday.
The midfielder played his first ever game in England for the Foxes in the come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Everton in the third round of the FA Cup on January 7.
He impressed with a barn-storming display and seems to have warmed his way to the heart of the Leicester City manager, Claudio Ranieri who confirmed on Thursday that the 20-year-old is in line for his debut against Chelsea in the tea-time kick-off at the King Power Stadium.
“Yeah I think (he will make his debut against Chelsea. I have waited for this kind of performance (displayed by Ndidi against Everton).
“I am sure he is getting better because the more he plays, the more he understands all the movement of the team,” Ranieri disclosed in his press conference.
The 20-year-old midfielder joined the Foxes from Belgian club KRC Genk on a five-and-a-half-year deal for a deal said to be within the region of a £15 million.
The other Nigerian on the books of Leicester City, Ahmed Musa, could also get a look-in for the clash against Chelsea.
Musa impressed in the win against Everton, scoring a brace after coming on as a second half substitute.
The absence of Algerian duo Islam Slimani and Riyah Mahrez, both away at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, could also help the cause of the former Kano Pillars man. (supersport.com)
