Chairman of Kano Pillars Kabiru Baita and his management board have been sacked without further delay.
Kano Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje announced the dissolution of the Pillars management today, according to a statement signed by clubspokesman Idris Malikawa.
Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Ibrahim Galadima has been directed to come forward with recommendations on how to restructure the team.
Four-time Nigeria champions Kano Pillars finished a disappointing seventh this past season despite huge financial support from the government.
There have also been reports of infighting on the management board with some members up in arms with chairman Baita over his failure to carry them along and running a one-man show.
The sack of the management means the hiring of a new coach will now have to be delayed as well. (NAN)
