SWAN, Political Leaders Congratulate Lloenyosi On AnSFA Re-election

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Anambra State Chapter, has congratulated Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi following his unanimous re-election as Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association, AnSFA, for a second four-year term.

 A statement signed by Chairman Chimezie Anaso and Secretary Uche Ndeke, SWAN described the mandate as a resounding endorsement of his dynamic leadership, passion towards the development of the game in Anambra state

 “As you are set to begin another term, we urge you to continue with your vision and commitment to youth development and football excellence,” the release stated.

SWAN also congratulated all newly elected board members on their “well-deserved mandate” and said it “looks forward to more impactful initiatives and stronger collaborations that will further position Anambra as a football powerhouse.”

Also congratulating Iloenyosi is the Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme.

In a letter dated 2nd July, 2026, Ofodeme said the unanimous endorsement by all 23 delegates was “a clear testament to the confidence reposed in your visionary leadership, commitment, and outstanding contributions to the growth of soccer (football) in Anambra State.”

He expressed confidence that the second tenure “will further strengthen grassroots football development, nurture young talents, and elevate Anambra football to greater heights,” while urging the chairman to note that “soccer is an institution of its own and a lot is expected for you.”

Chief Chukwudi Oli, APGA Candidate for Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha, Federal Constituency, also sent felicitations.

Congratulating “Iloenyosi” on his re-election following the June 30, 2026 poll in Awka, Oli said the overwhelming victory was a clear testament to the confidence and trust that the football family in Anambra State has in chief Iloenyosi’s visionary leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the growth of football.

He added that he has no doubt that the chairman’s second tenure will bring even greater development, unity, and opportunities for football stakeholders across the state.

He prayed that the administration continue to elevate Anambra football to greater heights and produce more talents that will make Anambra state and nation proud.
