AFCON 2021 2ND Semi-Final: Cameroon, Egypt The Two Titians In For Tough Encounter

As the curtain is gradually drawing on Cameroon 2021 Africa Cup of Nations football tournament, the second semi-final match between two African football giants, Cameroon and Egypt will go for each other’s throat in search for the final ticket against Senegal in what bookmakers have already tagged final before the finals between the titans of the continent’s football terrain.
If both sides are in the kind of form being anticipated then fans inside the hallow arena of Yaoundé International Stadium would be on their toes electrified via even exchanges of great football display by the two grade A football teams in Africa.
The showpiece won’t witness any dull moment at all no matter what. In short, the hen is like being home to roost in this context. The cross fire exchange would be so frightening and explosive in every sense of the word. Sallah won’t leave anything for chance as Egyptians may wove the game around him today as one of the exceptional players on the field of play.
With Senegal already through after showing hard fighting Stallions of Burkina Faso the exit door from the championship, bowed 1-3 in the first semi-final tango held in Douala venue yesterday.
Today’s game between these countries won’t less in thrills, frills and drills as fan would have a lot to cheer. It won’t produce less exchange fire works in desperate search for final ticket. It will be a different ball game as coaches from both divide may likely start the game on a cautious note all in the bid to study each other before total onslaught would be launched in earnest. The full blown battle of wits and brawns is expected if the pedigrees of both opponents would actually come to play.
If all things could be equal, no breathing space would be observed as the dual would be so tight, stressful, vigilance and hardened to handle.
If the officiating is fair the best team would win to face Senegal in the final on Sunday. The truth is that any country that emerged between host Cameroon and Egypt will meet even more desperate opponent in Senegal’s Terenger Lions that would threw everything into the game to see what she will salvage from the match it would like to win for the first, AFCON crown after severally appearing  in finals in previous editions without tangible result. Therefore another opportunity will present itself on Sunday.
Already, on ground in today’s encounter Egypt has protested on Gambian referee who they may have found not worthy to handle impartially this epic second semi- final encounter. That is a signal that none of the teams are taking the impending game lightly.
Truly on paper, the dice would be cast and only the fittest that gets her acts together and right on time would smile last. Egypt has won the game well above Cameroon’s fifth time and carrying such intimidating records into today’s match meant a lot.
It won’t be child’s play as both countries even for mere prestige sake will bring every tactics and techniques to the game to make it live up to the trappings of first rate match full of colours and might.
Again, bookmakers, fans, analysts etc are in dilemma to readily point to exact direction the pendulum would swing to. Previous meets between both countries have came out unpredictable until the last seconds and today’s make or break game will not be an exception too.
However, from whichever angle it is coming from, a winner must emerge to square up against Senegal in the finals come Sunday, February 6.
