The U-20 girls had a recovery training session at their hotel gym on Friday morning as they prepare for the crucial World Cup qualifier at the Kigali-Pele Stadium, formerly known as the Stade Regional Nyamirambo.

The players showed great spirit and determination as they went through their routine under the guidance of the technical crew, displaying energy, zeal and motivation ahead of the weekend encounter.

Sunday’s match will kick off at 3pm Rwanda time, which is 2pm Nigerian time.

Meanwhile, the Golden Eaglets received positive news ahead of their WAFU-B U-17 Boys Tournament campaign in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast, with all 20 players successfully passing their MRI tests.

The tests were conducted on the players in the early hours of Thursday by the CAF medical team, clearing the way for their participation in the regional competition.

The Eaglets will begin their tournament on Wednesday, September 24, when they face Benin Republic in their opening Group B fixture. They will also take on Burkina Faso in the same group.

The hosts Ivory Coast have been drawn in Group A alongside Ghana, Niger Republic and Togo.

Both Nigerian youth teams will be looking to make strong starts in their respective competitions as they continue their development at international level.
