A lethal striker with Nigeria’s leading football academy, Real Sapphire FC of Lagos, is currently in Turkey to pursue his dream of joining one of the country’s best known clubs, Karubukspor.

The player, 18-year-old prodigy Adeleke Akinola, is on trial with the Turkish Super League side, the team famed Nigerian international striker Emmanuel Emenike first played for during his illustrious career in Turkey.

Akinola’s trial with Karubukspor was confirmed by Real Sapphire Sport Director Frank Ogette.

“I can confirm that Adeleke Akinola, who is one of our strikers, is undergoing trial with Karubukspor of Turkey,” Odette said.

He described Akinola as “a talented young man with a great future,” adding: “Real Sapphire FC wishes him the very best as he moves to realise his dream of playing in Europe.”
