Ansu Fati Set To Miss Barcelona’s Pre-Season

By Daily sports on July 12, 2021

Fati yesterday underwent the pre-season medical checks alongside team mates Marc André Ter Stegen, Ousmane Dembélé, Philippe Coutinho (who is also recovering from an injury), Sergiño Dest, Gerard Piqué, Miralem Pjanić, Riqui Puig, Neto, Sergi Roberto and Samuel Umtiti. These are the ten first team players called up for the 2021-22 pre-season.

However, it seems that the Barça academy graduate will not be seen regularly at the club's training ground this summer. As revealed by journalist Marta Carreras on Catalunya Radio's ‘Tot Gira’, Fati will continue his recovery in Madrid, as he has been doing since his fourth and most recent operation in early May.

Sport reports Fati has been living in a hotel in Madrid since this operation. He has not taken any holidays, and instead has been putting in double training sessions to try and get fit for the start of the domestic season. (Tribal Football)
