Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has thrown his weight behind Kylian Mbappe to succeed despite a poor start for the Galacticos.
In a post obtained from Fabrizio Romano’s X handle on Friday, Ancelotti said he is optimistic that Mbappe will come good, saying that the Real Madrid forward has all it takes to flourish at Real Madrid.
In his words, “We are all with Mbappé. He has to endure the moment, fight, and sacrifice himself. Sooner or later it will end.”
“What gives me a good feeling is that in the last two games, his intensity has improved. He’s not showing his best version but he knows it,” he said.
Recall that the 25-year-old missed his second penalty in less than two weeks in what critics would describe as a ‘shambolic performance’ from the Real Madrid star.
Real Madrid will host Girona on Saturday looking to bounce back from their last defeat against Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday.
As it stands, Real Madrid are four points behind Barcelona with a game in hand.
