NFF unveils new kits for Olympics

By Daily Sports on August 3, 2016

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially revealed the new Nike strips for its national teams including the under-23s scheduled to play at the Rio Olympic Games.

After months of wait, the new kit revealed is one of the latest products from sportswear giants, Nike.

The new home kit is made of solid green with white ribbing around the back of the collar which adds to its aesthetics.

The away kit is a sample of the home kit but it is all white with a green stripe running the full length of the sides of shirt and shorts with a green stripe at the back of the collar.

Nike developed the kit with its latest Dri-fit technology which draws sweat away from the body to the exterior of the shirts and shorts, where it quickly evaporates. This allows players to perform at their best by remaining cooler, drier and more comfortable.

The laser-cut ventilation holes and mesh panels in the key areas of the kit are designed to improve performance by increasing air circulation and helping regulate players’ temperatures.

The shirt is crafted using mesh fabric that makes up the full front and back panels of the shirt, increasing airflow and facilitating enhanced movement.

Nike took over provision of kits for the Nigerian football team after Adidas ended its deal with the NFF a year and a half ago.
