Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr has reportedly been banned from registering new players because of their failure to pay Leicester City £390,000 owed the English Championship club over Ahmed Musa’s transfer in 2018, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Al Nassr was ruled to have owed Leicester City the amount by FIFA in 2021 after a complaint was made by the Foxes.

According to a report on Leicester Mercury, the Foxes argued they had not received add-ons they were due after the Super Eagles captain reached 40 starts for the club and helped them to finish inside the top three in the Saudi Arabian topflight league in his first season.

The world governing body agreed with Leicester and said Al Nassr needed to make the payment, plus interest, otherwise, they would be banned from registering new players for three straight transfer windows.

Musa, who joined the Foxes in 2016 for a then club record £16m from CSKA Moscow, scored just five goals in 33 appearances for the English club, before he was sold to Al Nassr for £15.4m two years later.

The forward, who currently plies his trade with Sivasspor in Turkey, made 60 appearances for Al Nassr, scoring 11 times with 14 assists.

Al Nassr recently completed a deal for Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan but will not be able to add to their ranks until they pay up what is due Leicester.
