The thrilling finals unfolded at the illustrious Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, where Heartland FC of Owerri orchestrated a remarkable triumph over Kano Pillars FC, securing a resounding 2-0 victory.
The match, which drew an enormous crowd of fervent supporters from both the Igbo and Hausa communities within and beyond Delta State, witnessed Heartland FC's sensational goals in the second half.
These decisive strikes sealed their triumph and solidified their claim to the championship title.
Heartland FC's journey to victory began by topping the Southern Conference, which comprised formidable competitors such as Sporting Lagos, FC One Rocket, and Stormers SC.
Simultaneously, Kano Pillars FC showcased their mettle by finishing as leaders in the Northern Conference, where they locked horns with Katsina United FC, DMD FC, and EFCC FC.
This remarkable achievement by Heartland FC now paves the way to a well-deserved promotion back to the prestigious Nigeria Professional Football League for the upcoming 2023/2024 season.
It marks a triumphant return for the Naze Millionaires, who had been relegated after finishing 18th out of 20 teams during the 2020/2021 campaign of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
