Arsenal, Newcastle United Consider Bids For Napoli Forward Victor Osimhen?

By Daily Sports on January 28, 2022

Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Arsenal and Newcastle United.

The two Premier League outfits had been in the market for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic before the Serbian indicated a willingness to sign for Juventus.

That has left the Gunners and Magpies to look for alternatives faced with the obstacle of other clubs being aware of what they were prepared to pay for Vlahovic.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, that is what could keep both teams as outsiders to sign Osimhen before the end of the January transfer window.

The report claims that Napoli will not consider any bids below €70m (£58.31m), making a deal highly unlikely at this stage.

While the 23-year-old has only scored nine times in all competitions this season, he has recently returned from injury to feature in Napoli's last two Serie A games. (Sports Mole)
