Eguma Satisfied With Rivers United’s Victory Over Heartland

By Daily Sports on January 25, 2022

Coach Stanley has praised his Rivers United’s side emphatic victory over Heartland FC in NPFL matchday 8 tie at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Monday.

Rivers defeated Heartland 3-1 to move up to the summit of the NPFL log with 18 points from 8 matches.

Morice Chukwu, Chijioke Akuneto, and Ishaq Kayode scored the goals that secured the maximum points for the Pride of Rivers.

After the game, Eguma said it was not an easy game but that he is happy his team got the victory against Heartland FC.

“I’m happy we got the victory. It wasn’t an easy game, because some people felt it should have been a walkover, but Heartland really showed us that they have something to offer.”

“We played well in the first half and they came back strong in the second half, and my players didn’t concentrate enough and that’s why we conceded the goal.” He said. (Brilla)
