Marca says Messi will train under his new coach Ronald Koeman for the first time on Monday, once he has passed a coronavirus test.
The Argentine did not head to Barcelona’s training ground on Saturday after announcing his decision to stay at the club the previous afternoon.
Philippe Coutinho has already joined the pre-season preparations and the rest of the internationals will return after the international break.
Barcelona will play their first friendly game next Saturday, September 12, against Nastic de Tarragona at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. (Tribal Football)
