Tragedy at the Glass House: Gunmen kill NFF top shot

A top shot at the Glass House has been killed by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers.

Ibrahim Abubakar, Head of Protocol at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), met his untimely death in his Abuja residence on Wednesday morning, the NFF said.

A tweet early this morning from NFF’s official Twitter handle, thenff, said: “NFF’s Head of Protocol Ibrahim Abubakar was shot dead by armed robbers in his house in Abuja in the early hours of today.”

Another tweet announced that “Abubakar’s remains is being taken to Kaduna for burial” in accordance with Islamic rites.

Condolences to Abubakar’s family and NFF have been pouring in from sports fans and administrators from various parts of the country.
