Liverpool Bid £54 million For Kalidou Koulibaly

By Daily Sports on June 24, 2020

Liverpool have reportedly bid £54 million for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

According to The Sun, the English Premier League leaders have stepped up their pursuit of the Senegal international.

Napoli are reported to have rejected the bid, but it is expected to be only the first of many transfer bids for the 29-year-old over coming weeks.

Manchester United and Chelsea are also said to be in the running for Koulibaly who was part of the Napoli side that defeated Juventus on penalties in the Coppa Italia final last week.

The Serie A club reportedly value their star defender at around £90 million and will unlikely shift from that mark as his current contract only expires in 2023.

Koulibaly has scored 10 goals in 235 appearances for Napoli since joining the club from KRC Genk six years ago. (The Sun)
