By Anthony Obaseki, Abakiliki on July 5, 2019

Delta Queens Technical Adviser, Coach George Emenetie, says the immediate concern of the technical crew and the team is their Federation Cup fixture against Rivers Angels billed for today, July 5, at Abakiliki, the Ebonyi State capital.

According to the team’s Media Officer, Oris Esima-Aniretan, the Technical Head said they are not under pressure but will also not underrate any side. The girls from Rivers State are no visitors to this competition but major challenge and the Queens from Delta State are not taking their threat for granted.

Esima-Aniretan told Daily Sports: “Our major concern is getting a result against Rivers Angels. Thank God for successes so far in the FA Cup but none is getting in to our heads because victory of the past is in the past.

“We are also in same group with Rivers Angels in the league about to start.

“It’s not a do or die thing but our spirit is very high and again we intend to pick the victory and step in to the finals.”

Delta Queens, the Delta State FA champions, had defeated Osun Babes in Ijebu Ode and Bayelsa Queens 3-1 in Owerri to set up a semi-finals fixture against Rivers Angels in Abakiliki Ebonyi State.
