21 States and 9 Clubs Hit Bayelsa for 3rd Governor Dickson National Wrestling Classics

The 3rd edition of the Governor Dickson National Wrestling Classics holding in Yenegoa, the Bayelsa State capital, is witnessing high turnout of participants.

As at the time of filing this report, 21 states and nine clubs were already on ground, according to the President of the Nigerian Wrestling Federation, Hon Dr Daniel Igali.

“We are expecting 26 states and 13 clubs, of which we have 21 states already and nine clubs here,” he said.

The states are Bayelsa, Edo, Akwa Ibom, Plateau, Nasarawa, Bauchi, Cross River, Adamawa, FCT Abuja, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Kano. Others are Osun, Enugu, Ebonyi, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi and Ondo.

The clubs are Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Civil Defence, Sports Academy, Asoma and Ayala. Others are Purity, Robinson, Edo and Calabar Cavan.

“I am happy with the turnout of states and clubs,” Igali said.
