Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid are ready to table a massive £12 million bid for Nigerian international Odion Ighalo after they watched him five times this season, according to media reports from Spain quoted by mtnfootball.com.
The lethal marksman is reportedly a summer target to replace Jackson Martinez, who cost them £25 million from FC Porto but has flopped.
Former Granada striker Ighalo has been a smash hit since he switched to Watford as he scored 20 goals to help them secure promotion to the English Premier League and he has now scored 14 goals in the EPL so far this season.
Ighalo has also been linked with Italian club Roma.
However, Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores has maintained they hope to hold on to the Nigeria striker this season.
