Higuain’s goal saves AC Milan from defeat

By Daily Sports on September 17, 2018

Gonzalo Higuain scored his first goal since joining AC Milan on loan from Juventus in the summer.

On the same day his replacement in Turin, Cristiano Ronaldo also scored his first goals for Juventus.

Higuain left Juventus because of the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo but like his replacement, he was unable to find the net in his first three league matches.

Joao Pedro gave Cagliari the lead in the fourth minute against the run of play.

Gonzalo Higuain restored parirty for the Rossoneri in the 60th minute to share the spoils.

AC Milan coach, Gennaro Gattuso said his side were poor in the first twenty minutes.

“Starting the game the way we did with those first 20 minutes was embarrassing,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“If you go 2-0 down in that match, you’re not going to recover from that. We have to resolve these issues, because our attitude in the first 20 minutes was awful.

We came out fighting in the second half, but it’s not enough. Cagliari deserved to be 2-0 up at the break and we would’ve been dealing with a completely different match.
